New Ottoman Tombstones and Inscriptions from Izmail Fortress

In July-September 2022, during an abnormal drop in the water level of Danube, near Izmail fortress at bottom river, on a plot 150-170×10-15 m depth 1 to 1.5 m, local historians accidentally discovered three clusters artifacts: fragments marble tombstones, Ottoman ceramics, forged iron elements rigging, as well remains hull small wooden sailboat and other finds (intact fragmented cast cannonballs, bombs, flintlock pistol), which were more or less evenly scattered over entire designated area.
 The purpose research paper is publish analyze most interesting unique complex artifacts found namely intact both with without epitaphs.
 Scientific novelty. course research, conducted by expedition Institute Archeology National Academy Sciences Ukraine, it has become possible expand significantly historical archaeological knowledge about history late period its existence, mainly 18th – early 19th century.
 Conclusions. Thanks rare natural phenomenon attentiveness historians, collection tombstones from augmented 10 objects all same time, there are four epitaphs. Although only one them dated 1749, which, unfortunately, does not extend chronology known epitaphs 1719-1756, however, contain other, previously unknown information. On two slabs, former military men Porte mentioned shahid officer Ismail Aga nameless janissary 12th Orta. From inscription first them, we learned Aga’s father Emrullah Çelebi, who could have been resident teacher educational institution. We should also mention slab names God, amulet preserved mosque Izmail.
